This just in: Ari has booked a flight on March 18 from Madrid to Geneva.
Let's review:
Feb 27-March 4: Ireland (Dublin + one day in Wicklow)
March 4-7: Lisbon
March 7-10: Sevilla
March 10-?: Barcelona
As you can see, I have a week to fill in Spain. I will be in Barcelona on the 10 and must fly from Madrid on the 18. Ari would love your input.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO GRANADA!
Mom provided the link and I look forward to following your journey. In the words of Marco Polo, Yankee Dog go forth.

Safe flight, Certificated Drinker, glad you are not piloting... but in case you need a pilot, remember I am great on take-off's, but to be totally candid, I was never too good on my landings, though... you might want to have someone else lined up in that arena. Have fun. Doozers
I would have to say Granada is a must, and if you find yourself in the south after being in Sevilla, Marbella was by far my favorite town in Spain. It doesn't have the most amazing cuisine or entertainment but there is something about Andalucia that sucks you in. You won't find American stores but instead artisans, but thats Europe. Salamanca was a fantastic time as it is a college town, so it welcomes the youthful spirit. I found myself in a plaza on May 1st in the middle of a workers demonstration/rally. I happily discovered it is the unexpected surprises that make for the best memories.
When you are in Madrid try to get to Segovia, they have a Roman aqueduct, Alcazar, and Cathedral, and then of course lots of swords and marzapan in Toledo plus El Greco. Of course you will do everything Gaudi in Barcelona, enjoy paella and sangria, camina en las ramblas, and get ready to photograph the best street performers in Spain.
I obviously have too much to say....i can't wait to read about your experiences
Coma demasiadas tapas y pescado! Beba muchos calimochos y sangria!
(calimotxo if you were in the basque region)
